Terrabyte

Terrabyte is a green tech company focused on combining creativity and technology for climate education. Learning complex topics tied to conservation and environmentalism can be a drag, but not when you're destroying space enemies at the same time. We're here to make climate education fun and reach everyday people (like you)!

Our first game, Wasted Space, reinforces core ideas of reusing, repairing, and recycling through an arcade space shooter. Players first destroy enemy spaceships, collect parts from the wreckage, and then use those parts to recycle into upgrades for their own ships! The open beta is available here on Itch.io as a pay-what-you-like product.

We are also at the helm of another climate education project titled Pixel Planet Today. Through social media posts, the endeavor aims to raise an appreciation for the planet using the power of nostalgia. Minimal pixel art is paired with facts climate news and other facts about the planet to bring a more approachable way to learning about our planet.
